Of course I'd be happy with most names on that list but to think that we are going to compete with LSU who is determined to pay the coach like an NFL coordinator means that said coach shouldn't have been added, unless his mom and dad, sisters and brother, wife and children all live here and he's missing them dearly.  Even then, he's got to be struggling with leaving LSU.

A name that no one except Arrigo had mentioned was Shane Beamer. DeBoer is another that intrigues me.

This guy mentioned Beamer back on Nov 26th fwiw. DeBoer fits the mold of coach she described in her press conference and looked for in the basketball search.

Actually Chat Sports did about a week ago.

There is no play calling or head coaching experience, but that won’t matter if Beamer hires experienced coordinators.”

Funny since thats exactly what Sanchez did. Cotton worked out great, Baer not so much.

Once the head coach is announced that will be the thing to play close attention too. What coordinators are brought in and what is the pool of money they are allotted for the 10 on field positions. How many GA's do they get and the position we cannot overlook as it is very important is the Strength and Conditioning coach.

How realistic is Jim Mora as the next coach of Unlv what do you guys think?

I feel if it was going to be Mora it would have already been done by now.

I feel the same. It's not to say it can't still happen, but Mora could have been hired already if that's who DRF wanted.

She will probably make an announcement the week before Christmas. I hope it’s a well thought out hire.

He wants the job.

Not sure he will be the direction DRF goes.

That would be after the December signing period ends and we need a coach before that.

At this point Mora appears to be what Marvin Menzies was to UNLVbb in February of 2015.  He wanted the job and our AD knew that 99.9% he would still be available and ready to sign after all the better possibilities didn't pan out.

Menzies reportedly wasn't considered with the group that included Cronin (who was selected).  Menzies interviewed in the second round but "withdrew his name from consideration" when it became known that Beard was getting an offer.  But ultimately Menzies got the job.

Sorry this is UNLV usually there is a fitting basketball analogy.
