The NCAA is a business that operates on its own schedule and with its own arbitrary, unfair, and inconsistent rules.  So we won't know until the whim strikes them to let us know.

My belief is that the waiver will be granted.  There was a solid case for a waiver, since Rogers' scholarship was essentially pulled at TCU since he was medically as close to 100% recovered as he was expected to ever be and TCU was not including him on the roster for road Big-12 games.  If the case was properly made in the waiver request then the chances are good.

This is a true dual threat QB that flings the Football around like it’s Nerf ball out in the backyard...

Waiting for the answer is probably excruciating.

It’ll be disappointing if the NCAA makes him have to sit. He has a good case. I’m expecting we‘ll hear something later this month, but like mentioned, you never know how the NCAA operates. High profile players among top teams seem to get waivers in a matter of hours, whereas other cases can take months to figure out.

Rogers seems like a humble, low-key leader.

Some guys have a lot more to their story than you hear.  For a QB that was rated as highly as he was, not a lot has been written about him and he has not posted a lot about himself.  This week he made a little more of his story public, but only because he needed to...

Definitely a likable kid who exhibits maturity.

I have some family that live near Lake O the Pines, TX not too far from where Justin Rogers grew up.
And I must say, there the most humble, God fearing, down to earth people that you can find in any region in this Country.
I know he was taking care of business during the lockdown and I predict he’ll show up June 19th in tip top condition.
Coming from a gambling community he’ll fit right in Las Vegas.

Maybe it's reading too much into it, but it might reveal a lot about how recovered Justin Rogers is from his injury that they are going after another player that comes from an almost identical situation to his.

According to  https://gocoogs.com/bryson-jackson-leaving/  new UNLV target Bryson Jackson was a freshman with Justin Rogers at TCU in 2018 but was injured in fall camp, and since then he hasn't played.  Jackson walked-on (preferred) at Houston in '19 hoping to become a blue-shirt (get awarded a scholarship after the season started) but Houston never put him on scholarship.

Hopefully he ready, his upside is tremendous if healthy.

Interesting speculation I saw this morning on why the NCAA is being so slow to announce immediate eligibility waivers, and why they postponed the June decision on granting blanket waivers...

If the P5 conferences stay on course to do "conference only" setups and the G5s stay in a holding pattern on scrubbing or pushing to spring, then there could be a mass exodus of top players from G5 to P5 before the fall semesters start.

That is a good point, makes sense why they haven't announced the waivers yet.

Say no to the same school year waivers and viola.

Sure, they can transfer but they cannot play.
