Boss Hog
- JUCO DB Grid Isidore was offered by UNLV and visited campus over the weekend.

Grid Isidore:
“The best part about my visit was seeing how much they are building for the football program, mainly the facilities and the new stadium. And then being around a coaching staff that has experience, and knows what they talking about was pretty cool. The coaches were just telling me that they need guys. Injuries play a big part of needing depth, plus seniors are graduating, so coaches could see me playing a big role. And they coach the players how college athlete supposed to be coached, not too hard but so that the players will understand what their assignments are. The players seem to like the program and they are already ready for a new season and new start. I could see myself helping to change the culture there, and bringing more guys in as well. I have visits Tulsa, and Texas State scheduled.”

With the latest news announcement, I imagine there will be some level of impact on the recruiting front, for better or for worse. Hopefully whoever the new coach is will establish trust with the current commits and immediately build upon what Sanchez started.

With a new coach coming in, one of the questions we've had was how it will impact the current verbal commits. Unless something changes between now and December 18, it appears most, if not all, are still planning to be Rebels. Jason Orts reported yesterday that the following guys remain committed to sign with UNLV, but with recruiting you never can be 100% certain.

Doug Brumfield, QB
Ronald Gilliam, WR
Kobe Jenkins, CB
Jeminai Leauta-Ula, G
Alani Makihele, G
Jabaz Myles, OLB
Dirk Nelson, C
Cole Palmer, ATH
Justin Pinkney, ATH
Iopu Tauiliili, OLB
Tai Tuinei, DT

Brumfield is gonna be a beast. It’ll be interesting to see if he can earn some playing time next fall. Looking forward to see what this class can do.
