Man, I hope CMA lets Ali Walsh tote the rock a few times against California..
He’s practiced with them (Cal) for a while and I know the kid is not intimidated.
Not only that, he was born with some swag & Mojo.

Go Rebels! Get Ready for Cal

With Darran Williams forced to step down, he has a realistic chance to earn that third spot, but obviously no guarantee. A lot of competition at that position. If Reese adds some muscle to his frame, and with the two incoming backs who signed yesterday, competition for carries will be fierce.

All the backs should benefit from a heavy offensive line. Norcross has his work cut out building the O - line, because Vegas is now “stacked” at the skilled positions.

The center position is still the question mark?

I voted Noah Bean because it looks like the new staff intends to emphasize the TE position.

I expect Charles Williams to have a huge season but it can't be called a "breakout season" because his freshman year was a breakout season and this past season was a huge comeback season, leading the conference in rushing and 2nd in TDs and being 1st team all-conference and it was one of the top seasons ever for a UNLV RB.

There is a lot of uncertainty whether Biaggio Ali Walsh will be returning to the team.  If he is on the team, I expect he will be below Courtney Reese on the depth chart and the incoming true freshman Downing graduated early and will be at spring camp, so he may play as a true freshman.  Ali Walsh will be 22 years old when the season starts and he's had 9 total yards of offense since finishing high school.

Why only offensive players as "breakout season" candidates?  LBs like Coby Windmon and Farrell Hester could become standouts now that departing senior LBs Jackson, White, and McCoy are gone.

Thought about Bean, went with Jenkins.

Jacoby Windom on defense is a solid choice.

I was going to add a defensive poll after we got the results in on the offensive votes.
Maybe someone with better insight on the defensive side of the ball would be so kind to run the poll on the defense.
I found the poll results fascinating thus far.

LETS GO DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the look of the Running back group moving forward. Williams, Magyar, Downing (Already on campus) are probably "front runners" based on previous production and the latter being part of the new class that these coaches wanted.

Guys like Reese (who I think will be used in multiple spots under new coaches), Hollandsworth and Tyree Jackson will have to fight for those reps. Group will get bigger with Spencer Diggs arriving summer/fall.

I know position coaches have major input but being that Walsh had a history with Sanchez wouldn't he make the final call on who gets reps?
